OMG Thank you so much for the DD and THANK YOU, everyone for viewing! I'm blown away- no joke D=.
I guess I should finish writing the last two chapters of my book now^^;;; procrastination is awsm. Meanwhile, I'm currently working on getting content ready for a Kickstarter campaign to produce the pilot episode of my animation series, Shadow Magic. The graphic novel was published a while back, but it's always been my ultimate dream to make it an anime series! It would mean the world to me if you'd check out the trailer in progress! The first sequence of the pilot is already made it to animatics =]. Again, THANK YOU!! Anime Emoji (Blush Oh yay dance) [V6]

Hi everyone! After a 6-year haitus, KAGE Productions is back in action and has completed its first animated trailer. This is the first in a series of animations that will begin airing online in 2013 based on my previously published manga graphic novel, Shadow Magic.

Please take a gander and let us know what you think!

Story: College student Lina and her best friend stumble upon ancient ruins of a mysterious origin and get pulled involuntarily into the politics and war of another world where magic and technology co-exist.

This trailer is a promo for the novel written by Tiffany Lei *cough yes me cough* and will be available in e-versions very soon! The first chapter of the manga is also available in print via the website and at KAGE Productions' convention booth. Chapter two is on the way and will be available in March of 2013.

1:02 looks like it could be inspired by Halo, Gundam or Star Wars. 1:05 looks sort of like an album cover of a band called We Came As Romans and looks like it could have been inspired by Avatar (with the blue people). I couldn't possibly do something like this as well as you have done, it's kind of really amazing.

Woah, I admit I didn't have anything like those in mind when storyboarding it out! That's so awesome!! Thanks so much for the thoughtful comment!

It's amazing how things like that happen! Ideas often come together from things you see and experience and oftentimes it's subconscious. It really is awesome. Another amazing thing is when different people have similar ideas without knowing it; for instance, I once found a book that seemed to follow a similar plotline to the one I was currently writing but I'd never heard of it before, or the author. But you're certainly welcome, I'd love to and think I might look into reading some of your work and watching through the animations as they come. It really is fantastic work, what you've got here. And on another note, thank YOU for the llama; I will return the favor.

For sure!! I recently read a trilogy from the 80's by a Canadian author whose story began exactly the same as mine had- cheesiness included D= Reinforced my intention to rewrite the first 5 chapters of my book hahaa. Couldn't believe the similarities! I really appreciate your thoughtfulness =). Thanks again! If only animation wasn't so time consuming to produce >_<.

Yeah, I recently found a series that combined many of the ideas that I have done for my book. I think that's even more amazing though, that you'd written almost a copy of something you'd never read. I've probably gone through my own book 5 or so times and re-written bits and pieces over and over again. It's hard for me to comment with short thoughtless things as it is. But oh god, I know, I had to animate a project with flash when I was a freshman in HS and it took me 8 weeks. It was 7 weeks late. :[ It doesn't help that I'm a bit of a perfectionist.

Wow! I can't imagine animating something for HS o__o. That never existed in my day LOL. I think for commercial art, particularly animation, it pays off to be a perfectionist ^__-. Flaws are easy to catch in something like that and can throw off an entire project/piece. It's a good trait to have =).... to an extent xp. On the other hand, sometimes things never get finished thanks to the endless revisions!

Well, it was a self-chosen project, it was a simple Adobe Flash animation and it was a lot of fun. Just took longer than I'd anticipated. Oh certainly! I don't intend to go into any field of animation, but I definitely can understand how it would pay off to be a perfectionist in that world. I think it's particularly true for writing as well. I feel as though Detail is always important in larger forms of art, beyond doodles. But there's always a point of too much, especially when things just don't get done. It's even worse when you've already written a whole lot of pages and then have to read through all of them just to continue. Hours and hours of work just reading, as a writer. But to me, it's all fun, world-building and all, imagining my own stories come to life. I love it.
