This is the illustration Arcana decided to use as the cover of my graphic novel, Shadow Magic. It also has a personal meaning to me since the story originated when I was 3 years old from a dream. I started doing a series of illustrations to go back into the purity of that world before the modernized version in Shadow Magic =/. Wish I had more time to get back to that. u.u
See you at Sakura Con this Easter Weekend!!! We'll be at small press booth SP16 . Be sure to drop by and say hello, and let us know if you'd like to be notified via email when our anime pilot episode KickStarter campaign goes live!!
Just finished animating all the tones & highlights for the Shadow Magic trailer woohoo!! COLORS TIMEEE!
Phew! Spring has come early this year D=... which means I only got to snowboard TWICE T__T. We got NO SNOW this year!!!???!!
The video above is the last scene line work for the Shadow Magic anime trailer. I've gone back to animate tones & highlights and at scene 11/26. Taking one scene at a time... haha. Since my schedule got shifted around to accommodate some client work, I will be pushing back the KickStarter launch until May . As much as I didn't want to miss my own deadline, I feel that quality is more important.
Just completed another animation project for a client (hush hush for now) and coming close to finishing up the Blessing to Japan graphic novel for Dragon Spice LLC. Gosh, that one has been going for like 3 years already! I think we've celebrated 2+ years on Code of Amanis, too! I love it! This kind of schedule obviously means I don't get to update my galleries much with new material since I rarely have time to work on personal stuff. Animating Shadow Magic is consuming every moment I can spare @__@.
Sakura Con (Seattle, WA) is les than one month away and I'm trying to get as much sewing done in-between dinner and dog walk time T__T. I'm planning to unveil a new item for the Lolita accessories line this year, and of course, spread awareness and support for the upcoming Shadow Magic pilot episode KickStarter. I wasn't able to get into Anime Revolution (Vancouver, BC) since the tables opened and sold out before I returned from Asia. The only option is the full vendor booths which are WAY beyond my affordability ; It's a bit disappointing since we hosted that Animating Anime panel there last year with such a great reception. I really wanted to kick it up a notch this year with live animation demonstrations.
This update is so laaaaaaaate thanks to the crazy work schedule. However, this also marks the first full year anniversary of starting KAGE Productions full time (March, 2014)! I think we've accomplished a lot in one year including visual novel sprite sets, game maps, independent illustrations, piles of manga pages, 3 short animations and more~ Looking forward to what the comes next .
Most likely, I'll have to start considering smaller local events again, too. Thanks a ton for your eyes, ears and support! Even if you're a lurker and don't comment, I want to thank everyone again who drops by my galleries to have a look . I can only hope that you like what you see and share it with your friends and family ^___^. Big hugs to everyone!!
The game project I've been working on the last few years has launched their website!!
And, as always, I'd love to hear from you if you're interested in becoming a collaborator or contributor, whether directly in the anime production pipeline, or with your help with spreading the word! I would like to reward any link sharing and features with some DA points (just let me know in this journal comments or via private note). Shadow Magic is very dear to me, and I hope you will enjoy it too!

If there's any other anime/game/comics/film events going on along the north-west coast, please please PLEASE tell me about it! The sooner, the better! I'll try my best to be there! Doesn't matter how small or how big they are xP.
I reserve the right to decline commission requests. I'm more inclined to take on commissions that are of a fantasy and/or sci-fi nature. I feel that I do my best work under those genres. Thank you for considering me! <3 Commissions
